Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Alona Tool (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit this website and use its online tools. We wrote it by checking how the website actually works, so it describes what the site really does rather than generic legal wording. In short: Alona Tool has no user accounts and no database of your files or inputs, and most tools work entirely inside your browser. A few features use outside services, and each is listed below.
1. Who we are
Alona Tool is an independently maintained website offering free utilities. The site is operated by its maintainer, who can be reached at alonait.info@gmail.com. There is no company registration or postal address to publish at this time; email is the way to contact us about anything in this policy.
2. Information we collect
- Technical request data (hosting logs). Whenever your browser loads a page or file from this website, the hosting provider that serves the site receives standard technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, the address requested, and the time. Hosting providers usually keep such logs for operation, security and troubleshooting under their own policies. We do not add our own code to read or store this data, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
- Emails you send us. The site has no contact form. If you email alonait.info@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply and handle your request.
- Advertising data (only when ads are active). See section 8. If Google AdSense is switched on, Google and its partners may collect data through the ad code.
Everything else you type, paste, select or create in the tools stays on your device unless a tool says otherwise (section 5).
3. Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, phone numbers, postal addresses, payment details, precise location, or identity documents. The site does not send your tool inputs, documents or uploaded files to our servers, because we do not operate a backend that receives them. We do not run analytics or visitor-tracking scripts of our own.
4. How we use information
- To deliver the website and keep it working and secure (hosting logs, handled by the host).
- To answer emails you send us.
- To show advertising and measure ads, if and when AdSense is enabled (handled by Google).
We do not sell your personal information.
5. File and tool-input processing
“In your browser” means the work is done by JavaScript running on your own device. The file or text is held in your browser’s memory while you use the tool, and is released when you close or reload the page. Results you download are saved by your browser to your device. Our server never receives them.
| Tools | Where processing happens | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PDF Merger, PDF Splitter, PDF Compressor | In your browser, using the open-source pdf-lib library (and JSZip for ZIP downloads). | The PDF is read from your device, processed in memory, and offered as a download. Nothing is uploaded or stored by us. |
| Image to PDF converter, image tools (compress, resize, convert, collage, favicon, palette and similar) | In your browser, using the canvas and file APIs. | Images are not uploaded. Collage settings are saved only if you press Save (section 6). |
| Word, Excel and PowerPoint-style editors | In your browser. DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PDF, CSV and HTML files are generated on your device. | Your work is auto-saved in your browser’s local storage (section 6); we do not receive it. |
| Text, developer, password, calculator, date, colour, QR/barcode, SEO and business tools | In your browser. | Input is processed locally. Passwords and codes are generated with your browser’s built-in functions. |
| YouTube Thumbnail Downloader | Your browser requests thumbnail images from YouTube’s image servers (i.ytimg.com). | The video ID you enter is used in that request. YouTube/Google can see the request. We do not receive it. |
| Open Graph and Twitter Card generators | In your browser. If you enter an image address, the preview loads that image from the address you entered. | The website hosting that image can see the request. No image is loaded unless you enter an address. |
| Text to Speech | Uses your browser’s built-in speech feature. | Depending on your browser and the voice you choose, your device or browser vendor may process the text with its own speech service. We do not control or receive it. |
| Invoice and QR share options (WhatsApp, email, share sheet) | Nothing is sent until you press a share button. | The button opens WhatsApp (wa.me), your email app, or your device’s share menu with text you chose to share; that app’s own privacy policy then applies. |
Because processing happens on your device, files that are very large can be slow or fail on devices with limited memory. If processing fails, the tool shows an error message, and nothing is kept by us.
PDF files you open may contain metadata (such as author or title). The PDF tools do not remove it unless you choose the “clear document properties” option in the PDF Compressor, and files you download are created on your device and are not tracked by us.
6. Browser storage
The site uses your browser’s localStorage for the items below. This data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and remains until you delete it. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. The site does not use sessionStorage or IndexedDB.
| Key | What it stores | Why |
|---|---|---|
alona_theme | Light or dark theme choice | Remember your display preference |
alona_office_doc_title | Word editor document title | Auto-save so a refresh does not lose your work |
alona_office_doc_html | Word editor document content (whatever you typed or pasted) | Auto-save |
alona_office_sheets | Excel editor spreadsheet content | Auto-save |
alona_office_deck_v2 | PowerPoint editor presentation: title, slides, text, shapes and any pictures you add (pictures are stored in the browser as image data) | Auto-save |
alona_office_slides | and alona_office_deck_title: the saved deck from an older version of the PowerPoint editor. They are read once to upgrade it and are no longer updated | Keep earlier work available |
alona_collage_project_v1 | Collage layout and styling settings, only when you press Save (not your photos) | Let you restore a design |
Anyone who can use the same browser profile on the same device could see this data, so avoid leaving sensitive documents in the editors on shared or public computers, and clear them when you are finished.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Alona Tool itself does not set any cookies; the source code contains no cookie-setting code. Third-party services can set their own cookies or use similar technologies. In particular, if Google AdSense is enabled (section 8), Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Requests for Google Fonts and, in the cases described in section 5, for YouTube images are made by your browser directly to those services. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the tools do not need cookies to work.
8. Google AdSense and advertising
The site is set up to display ads from Google AdSense. Ad code is only loaded once the site’s AdSense account has been configured; until then, no Google advertising code runs on the site. When ads are active:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Whether ads are personalized or non-personalized depends on your choices and on the law that applies where you are.
- We do not control the data Google collects. How Google uses information is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and in Google’s advertising policy.
Consent. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google requires consent before certain cookies and personal data are used for advertising. We will configure Google’s consent message (Google Privacy & Messaging, a certified consent management platform) before ads are switched on, so that you can accept, reject or manage your choices where the law requires it.
Your advertising choices:
- Manage ad personalization in Google Ads Settings.
- Learn about opting out of interest-based advertising at aboutads.info.
- Use your browser’s privacy settings, cookie controls or extensions.
9. Third-party services
These are the outside services the website currently relies on or can contact:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — loads the interface fonts (Plus Jakarta Sans and JetBrains Mono) when a page opens, and the handwriting fonts only when you open the Signature Maker. Your browser sends a request to Google, which can include your IP address and browser details.
- Google AdSense — only when enabled; see section 8.
- YouTube image servers (i.ytimg.com) — only when you use the YouTube Thumbnail Downloader.
- Websites you point a preview at — only if you enter an image address in the Open Graph or Twitter Card generator.
- WhatsApp (wa.me), your email app, your device’s share menu — only when you use a share or link button.
- Hosting provider / CDN — delivers the website’s files and handles request data as described in section 2.
The site’s own scripts include open-source libraries (for example pdf-lib, jsPDF, JSZip and SheetJS) that are bundled with the site and run in your browser; they do not send your data anywhere.
10. Analytics
We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics, heat-mapping or tracking tool. If we add one, we will update this policy first and describe what it collects.
11. Data retention
- Tool inputs and files: not retained by us, because we do not receive them. They exist in your browser’s memory until you leave or reload the page.
- Browser storage: remains on your device until you clear it (section 6).
- Hosting logs: kept by the hosting provider for the period set by that provider; we do not control it.
- Emails: kept for as long as needed to respond and handle your request, and then deleted when no longer needed. We have not set a fixed deletion schedule.
- Advertising data: held by Google according to its own policies.
12. Security
Keeping files and inputs on your device means we have little data to protect. The site is intended to be served over HTTPS, the PDF and image tools check file types and sizes before processing, and the tools show an error instead of a false success when something fails. Still, no website or software can be guaranteed 100% secure, and your own device, browser extensions and network also affect your security. Keep your software up to date.
13. International visitors
The website can be visited from anywhere. Privacy laws differ between countries, and depending on where you live you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or US state privacy laws. We have tried to keep data collection minimal, but we do not claim certification or full compliance with every law worldwide. Third parties such as Google may process data in countries other than your own, under their own policies.
14. Children’s privacy
Alona Tool is a general-purpose utility website and is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age set by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email alonait.info@gmail.com and we will delete it.
15. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask about, access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent you have given. In practice:
- We hold no account or profile for you. The only personal information we may hold is an email you sent us; write to alonait.info@gmail.com and we will help with access, correction or deletion of it.
- You can delete everything stored by this site in your browser through your browser settings.
- You can manage advertising choices as described in section 8, and change or withdraw consent through the consent message when it is shown.
- Data held by Google, our hosting provider or other third parties is controlled by them; contact them directly, or ask us if you are unsure who to contact.
You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
16. Links to other websites
Pages may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their policies.
17. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the website changes (for example, when advertising or analytics settings change). The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision.
